Knock Out Sarcoma

2019 Fun/Run

June 1, 2019
Van Cortlandt Park 242nd Street
Bronx, New York 10471

Sarcomas are a rare form of cancer, affecting patients of all ages. Many of these sarcomas arise in otherwise healthy children and young adults and inflict a tremendous toll on both the patient and their family.  The Division of Orthopedic Oncology at Montefiore Medical Center is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with both soft-tissue and bone sarcomas.  In addition, our laboratory seeks to better understand how these tumors arise and in turn, how to better treat them.  Together with the Sarcoma Strong Initiative - we are hosting this event to raise funds for the ongoing fight against sarcoma.  Help us support both the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society  and our own Musculoskeletal Oncology Laboratory.

Sarcomas are rare and your support can make a big difference! Join in the fight and help support our efforts!

Can't make it to the event? We are sorry you can’t join us but you can still support us with a donation!

Knock Out Sarcoma

The Knock Out Sarcoma Fun/Run takes place on Saturday morning and lasts between 2 - 3 hours. It is an opportunity for friends, colleagues, athletes, and community members to come together, enjoy the outdoors, and to raise money for a rare and underfunded form of cancer. It is meant to be a casual, yet meaningful opportunity to give back to some of our sarcoma patients and the individuals who work hard to improve their outcomes. Join us for a few hours and help fund future sarcoma research and tomorrow's sarcoma care. Your support for this event will be tremendously valued!
