Dear Knock Out Sarcoma Participants and Supporters,

Thanks so much to everyone who participated and supported the 2024 7th annual Knock Out Sarcoma event!! Our weather luck continued and we enjoyed a beautiful summer morning! We want to thank and recognize all of our newest participants, including the NYCiSchool team, member of the Columbia Business School class of 2024, and others who took the time and effort to participate. As always, we extend a heartfelt thanks to the event leadership, our amazing marketing department, as well as our virtual participants, donors, and industry sponsors who helped make it all happen. We want to recognize and applaud out patients and their families, our amazing colleagues and all of the friends and family members who carved out time to join us! THANK YOU!

We again would like to send a special thanks to our 2024 sponsors, old and new - and look forward to having their ongoing support in a year for our 8th annual event in 2025!!

We are in the process of uploading this year's pictures...please stay tuned and check back in the coming days!!!

Warmly and with appreciation,

David S. Geller, MD

Sarcomas are rare and your support can make a big difference! Join in the fight and help support our efforts!

Sarcomas are a rare form of cancer, affecting patients of all ages. Many of these sarcomas arise in otherwise healthy children and young adults and inflict a tremendous toll on both the patient and their family. The Division of Orthopedic Oncology at Montefiore Medical Center is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with both soft-tissue and bone sarcomas. In addition, our laboratory seeks to better understand how these tumors arise and in turn, how to better treat them.

Knock Out Sarcoma Ambassador

Listen up! Kevin O'Toole, left back for the @nycfc, has invited you to lace up your running shoes and join us on a family-friendly run for a great cause -- the Knock Out Sarcoma 5k. Race day is just one week away. Will we see you there?

Our next Knock Out Sarcoma Fun/Run is scheduled to take place on Saturday June 7th, 2025 in the morning and will last approximately 2 - 3 hours. We will begin pre-run events at 8:00 AM and expect the run to kick off between 8:45 AM and 9:00 AM. Our event seems to gain momentum and energy each year and we are hoping 2025 will be no exception. We hope to see everyone there!Read More
